Fontenot "Prairie Cajun" (Living in the wake of Rita, the forgotten hurricane) - It's official, today my little girl will turn four. With that in mind, you can imagine how excited she was to finally get the "Barbie" Elina Doll with light-up wings. I hate to say it, but as a male adult who is almost thirty, I even find this doll to be pretty cool. First of all, the doll's wings light up via the use of fiber optic lighting much like that found on miniature Christmas trees. By pressing a button on her back, her wings flicker to life. She also comes with a little blue guy. I don't know his name, but I'm sure he's in the "Fairytopia" movie. We have that as well, but I haven't watched it yet. Here's where I really get embarassed. This doll has some really cool boots that look to be made out of vines. They go all the way up to Elina's knees. She also has flowers "tattooed" all over her arms and legs. In short, this is a really colorful doll that I'm sure any young girl(and some of us older dudes, too) would really enjoy. It's a sure hit with your young ones! Manufacturer Description Elina is a beautiful fairy and the main character in the Fairytopia dvd movie, but unlike her friends, she has no wings. She takes a journey to help her friends and defeats the evil Laverna, saving the flowers and Fairytopia. As a reward for her courage, she is granted the most beautiful wings of all the fairies, by the beautiful, Enchantress. The beautiful Elina doll has a pink flower-inspired dress, rooted eyelashes and magical fiber optic light-up wings. |
